Consuelo Valverde

Consuelo Valverde is the co-founder of Expansion Bridge, providing teams without borders to fast growing software companies seeking to hire top engineering talent.  Consuelo has more than 20 years of international business experience and science entrepreneurship best practices.  She actively participated in the Mexican National Initiative PROSOFT, promoting the development of the software industry.  She also promoted the creation of AISAC, association of the software industry in Mexico.  At the age of 20, Consuelo founded one of the first PC manufacturing companies in Mexico and later on an IT learning institute.

Parallel to founding other businesses in Mexico and the United Kingdom, she taught for over 7 years at the Tech Institute of Monterrey.  As part of an international team, she co-founded STiEX, a London based S&T consulting company that stimulates collaborations between Europe and emerging countries.  Among her past ventures are the creation of the first public Innovation Center, a science museum, an S&T fund, Hypatia - a science awareness magazine, STiEX: UK - Mexico innovation program, international innovation conferences, and a TV and radio show covering the subjects of science, technology and innovation.

Consuelo serves as an advisor for several start up and fast growing companies in Silicon Valley and Mexico.  Consuelo is actively involved in international programs regarding innovation best practices and new technologies to effectuate change in emerging economies around the world.  She frequently collaborates with international organizations such as the World Intellectual Property Organization.
